We've immersed ourselves into the crowds doing hatsumode at Zojoji and Meiji shrines, eaten our soba which symbolizes longevity, made wishes and purchased lucky charms, watched the kohaku uta gassen that brought back memories of the J-pop wave, and let the new year's first sunrise shine on our lazy asses. Tomorrow, we'll be greeting the Emperor at the Imperial Palace.
It's only been a month and I feel like a Japanese already.
HAPPY MOO YEAR one and all!
